Last Updated: May 5, 2023

Rental Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between D&M Trailer Rentals LLC ("we," "our," or "us") and the renter ("you" or "your"). By renting a trailer from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Rental Requirements

To rent a trailer from D&M Trailer Rentals LLC, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age;
  • Possess a valid driver's license;
  • Provide proof of current auto insurance that covers trailer towing;
  • Have a vehicle with appropriate towing capacity and properly functioning hitch system;
  • Provide a valid credit card for the security deposit.

Deposits and Payments

A security deposit is required for all trailer rentals. The deposit amount varies based on the trailer type and rental duration. The deposit will be refunded within 3-5 business days after the trailer is returned in the same condition as when it was rented, minus any applicable charges for damages, late returns, or cleaning fees.

Full payment for the rental period is due at the time of pickup. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

Late Returns

Trailers must be returned by the agreed-upon time specified in your rental agreement. Late returns without prior arrangement will incur additional charges at our standard daily rate plus a late fee of $25 per day.

If you need to extend your rental period, please contact us as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to availability and additional charges will apply.

Damage Responsibility

You are responsible for any damage to the trailer during your rental period, regardless of fault. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Damage to the trailer body, frame, or components;
  • Tire damage beyond normal wear and tear;
  • Damage to electrical components;
  • Interior damage to enclosed trailers;
  • Loss of any included equipment or accessories.

If damage occurs, you must report it to us immediately. Repair costs will be deducted from your security deposit. If repair costs exceed the deposit amount, you will be billed for the difference.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses of our trailers are strictly prohibited:

  • Towing beyond the trailer's rated capacity;
  • Transporting illegal substances or materials;
  • Using the trailer for commercial purposes without prior written consent;
  • Subletting or loaning the trailer to another party;
  • Modifying the trailer in any way.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of your deposit, and additional charges for any resulting damages.

Limitation of Liability

D&M Trailer Rentals LLC is not responsible for:

  • Damage to your vehicle resulting from proper or improper use of the trailer;
  • Personal injuries or property damage caused by the use of the trailer;
  • Loss or damage to items transported in or with the trailer;
  • Indirect or consequential damages, including loss of time or inconvenience.

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting.
